Another conference, this time in the United States, Salt Lake City: Bénédicte Mouton participated in the biannual conference of the Society for Reseach on Child Development (SRCD), one of the major conferences on developmental psychology, as a part of the symposium entitled “Understanding the now and the future: parental cognitions about child development, education and rearing”. All contributors sought to examine the determinants, underlying mechanisms and implications of parenting for child development. Bénédicte specifically presented a study where she examined the role of parents’ threat beliefs, eco-anxiety, and self efficacy for understanding overprotective parenting.
