New project on eco-anxiety

SAFESORRY is a research project funded by the European Research Council that seeks to understand parenting in a changing social world.

With a diverse team of researchers, we aim to better comprehend how the societal, cultural, economic and historical context shapes the way parents educate their children. After three years of active collaboration in the SAFE-SORRY project as a post-doctoral researcher, Bénédicte Mouton is launching a new research project on the emotions felt by children and teenagers about climate change and biodiversity. Funded by the Fonds Houtman (Office de la Naissance et de l’Enfance – ONE), and with the support of the Université Libre de Bruxelles and the collaboration of the Museum of natural sciences of Brussels, this participatory study aims to estimate the level of eco-anxiety and coping strategies in children and young people aged 6 to 18, in Wallonia and Brussels. You can follow the progress of this project on the SAFE-SORRY website. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Bénédicte, who will continue to work as part of the SAFE-SORRY team!
