The SAFE-SORRY team is currently conducting a systematic review of research on perceived overprotective parenting in adolescents and young adults. We are interested in research that was conducted in community samples of adolescents and young adults (i.e., mean age between 12 and 25 years), where perceived overprotective parenting was assessed using a version of the Parental Bonding Instrument (PBI; Parker et al., 1979) or a version of the Egna Minnen Beträffande Uppfostran (EMBU; Perris et al., 1980).

We are seeking unpublished data that assessed overprotective parenting in non-clinical samples of adolescents and young adults. As we are interested in time trends and cultural differences, we are particularly interested in older data (i.e., from before 1995) and data collected in non-western countries. However, more recent data as well as data from western countries are useful as well. If you have any type of data that might be relevant, please do not hesitate to contact us, ideally before 30th September, on: stijn.van.petegem (at) ulb.be.

Many thanks!
