Elliana Lamprianidou, doctoral researcher in the ULB team, is currently visiting two leading research groups in the Netherlands: the Social Psychology group at the University of Amsterdam, where she is hosted by Prof. Katharina (Kate) Block, and the GRID Lab (Groups and Identity Lab) at Utrecht University, where she is hosted by Profs. Melissa Vink and Belle Derks.

During her visit, Elliana is teaming up with these Dutch researchers to explore how gender stereotypes can be studied through a cross-cultural lens. This collaboration is a key part of the latest , cross-cultural project of the SAFE-SORRY team, which investigates how parents’ gender role beliefs shape parenting, while considering the impact of societal gender inequalities and broader cultural contexts.

Stay tuned for new insights into how the socio-cultural environment may impact the way parents raise their children!
