The SAFE-SORRY team will be represented again during the VNOP Research Days in Utrecht! In her oral presentation, Annalisa Soncini will address the question whether overinvolved parents are a risk factor for students’ and teachers’ well-being. Through her qualitative interview-based study conducted in Italy, she was able to reveal that teachers perceive overinvolved parents as too present, critical, and protective—potentially undermining teachers’ well-being and hindering students’ autonomy. You can download her presentation here. Further, Louise Mathijs will present the results of case study that she conducted in the context of her PhD project. Specifically, using a pragmatic case study approach, she will present the trajectory of a father who followed the ACT parenting program, as an illustration of how to bridge clinical practice and research. We wish you all an excellent conference!
