Can a 15-year-old boy travel across Europe through interrail with a friend, or is that irresponsible? In the United Kingdom, that question recently sparked a fierce battle of opinions. It arose after British TV presenter Kirstie Allsopp proudly proclaimed that her son had taken such a trip this summer. The debate over how much freedom parents should grant their child is not new.
